Tendring District Council (TDC) is looking to procure a service for the provision of Waste Collection & Disposal to 3 Leisure Centres in the district. The locations are: - Clacton Leisure Centre, CO15 6DB - Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles, CO12 3TA - Walton-on-the-Naze Lifestyle, CO14 8PZ The service is a statutory under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and relates to the safe handling, collection, and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous and washroom waste from centers.

• Bulk Waste Collection

  Collection of general waste and recyclable waste from designated bins and storage areas across all 3 leisure sites. Waste to be transported to a licensed disposal facility in compliance with UK Waste Regulations. Contractor to provide appropriate containers for bulk waste and food waste storage. Contractor to provide waste transfer notes for all collections.

• Sanitary Waste Collection

  Provision and servicing of sanitary bins in all female and accessible toilets. Sharp waste disposal in accordance with The Controlled Waste Regulations 2012 and Duty of Care requirements. Contractor to provide waste transfer notes for all collections.

• Air Freshners

  Supply and installation of air freshener units in all public toilets and changing areas. Units to be maintained and refilled regularly to ensure they are always operational Fragrance options to be agreed with the client. Contractor responsible for ensuring units are always operational.
