  HGV Skills Bootcamps The Learning Organisation shall deliver an industry-recognised HGV Driver Skills Bootcamp designed to support individuals to gain the skills, knowledge and licences required to enter employment within the logistics, transport and freight sectors. The programme must respond to identified workforce shortages across South Yorkshire and support employers experiencing recruitment challenges in securing qualified HGV drivers. Provision must include all elements necessary for learners to achieve the appropriate HGV licence category either C or C&E relevant to employer demand, alongside practical driving instruction, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) requirements where applicable, employability support, and preparation for employment within the sector. • PCV Skills Bootcamps£300k

  The Learning Organisation shall deliver an industry-recognised PCV Driver Skills Bootcamp aimed at increasing the supply of qualified PCV drivers available to operators across South Yorkshire. The programme will support local transport priorities by addressing driver shortages and enabling PCV operators to recruit and retain skilled staff to support service delivery and network resilience. Training must provide learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and licence acquisition required to become employment-ready PCV drivers. Programmes should incorporate practical driver training, licence attainment, customer service, passenger safety, disability awareness, safeguarding, and professional behaviours required to operate effectively within the public transport sector.
