Wirral Council's Leisure Services are responsible for the management of 6 leisure centres, 1 Football Community hub, 2 municipal golf courses and a Water sports centre providing a range of sports and leisure facilities to the residents and visitors to the Borough. Of the 6 Leisure centres, 5 have outside sport areas consisting of 4 11-aside 4G football pitches and 14 short sided 3G caged football pitches. All of which are well played on and require maintenance enabling Wirral Leisure Services to execute the play pitch strategy set by the Football Foundation (FA).
