What the buyer is asking for

Orbit Group is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced provider to deliver Group Life Assurance services for eligible employees. The successful provider will deliver a reliable, compliant and cost-effective death in service benefit that supports Orbit Group and provides financial protection to employees nominated beneficiaries. Pleaes note that Orbit are seeking Bid Submissions from suitably qualified insurers or providers who are able to contract directly with Orbit and deliver the Group Life Assurance services. Bid Submissions from brokers, intermediaries or agents acting only in an intermediary or advisory capacity will not be accepted. The successful Bidder will, however, be required to work collaboratively with Orbit's appointed broker/adviser (EBC) in connection with the placement, administration and ongoing management of the scheme. Please note that a Planned Procurement notice for this tender was published on 11th August 2026 therefore qualifying a reduced tendering period. The reduced tender period is not due to state of urgency.

  Tenderers must: 1, have recent relevant experience of delivering corporate Life Assurance services in the UK 2. be able to evidence appropriate data protection, information security and confidentiality controls for handling employee and special category health data, including secure transfer arrangements such as SFTP or equivalent secure data transfer 3. have the technical ability to migrate existing members into a new scheme without re-underwriting and protecting current underwriting status
