What the buyer is asking for
West Sussex County Council are creating a new Flexible Framework for Apprenticeships to onboard training delivery providers. This framework is intended to establish a flexible and high-quality pool of approved Apprenticeship Suppliers who can deliver a broad range of services across defined Lots: Lot 1 Health & Social Care Lot 2 Education, Early Years & Community Support Lot 3 Business, Administration & Management Lot 4 Digital, Technology & Data Lot 5 Creative, Cultural, Media, Marketing & Design Lot 6 Engineering, Construction, Built Environment, Transport, Environment & Sustainability Lot 7 Public Services, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Protective Services & Community Safety The total contract value is £50 million, this has been split between all lots as an estimate not an actual figure. Please note that this Framework will remain open to applicants for the full life time of this Framework. Call off competitions will commence in 2027.

- Education, Early Years & Community Support£7.1m
This lot includes apprenticeships for professionals working in schools, early years settings, and wider community learning and support environments. It covers teaching assistants, early years practitioners, youth work, learning mentors, SEND support, and careers guidance. It also includes community-focused roles that support wellbeing, education engagement, family support, outreach, coaching, and local community development activities.
- Business, Administration & Management£7.1m
This lot covers apprenticeships supporting core business operations and organisational effectiveness. It includes, but is not limited to, business administration, human resources, project and programme management, leadership and management, and business improvement roles. This lot focuses on developing strong operational, organisational, and managerial capability.
- Digital, Technology & Data£7.1m
This lot includes digital and IT apprenticeships that strengthen organisational technology capability. It covers, but is not limited to, software development, cyber security, data and AI roles, digital support, cloud and infrastructure operations, and digital transformation functions.
- Creative, Cultural, Media, Marketing & Design£7.1m
This lot covers apprenticeships across the creative industries, cultural sectors, marketing, media and communications, and design professions. It includes, but is not limited to, content and creative production, digital and graphic design, cultural heritage, marketing and digital marketing, communications, and design led roles. This lot supports creative, promotional, and content driven capability across sectors.
- Engineering, Construction, Transport, Environment Built & Sustainability£7.1m
This lot covers technical and professional apprenticeships across engineering disciplines, the built environment, transport operations, and environmental or sustainability focused roles. It includes, but is not limited to, engineering; construction and building services; and surveying roles. It also incorporates transport focused pathways such as transport planning and infrastructure support, alongside roles related to environmental management and sustainability practices.
- Public Services, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Protective Services, CommunityS£7.1m
This lot covers apprenticeships supporting public protection, statutory duties, legal and regulatory functions, commercial governance, and community safety. It includes, but is not limited to, fire and rescue, legal services, compliance, regulatory affairs, and commercial procurement roles. It also incorporates community facing protective services such as community safety officers and anti social behaviour teams.
